YRP Camera Registry Program
/The police have traditionally relied on door to door canvasing to locate camera footage that may have captured important footage to assist in solving crimes. This process is time consuming, it requires the use of several officers (who must be taken away from other duties) and it can only be done during certain hours (preferably not at night). Officers often have to return to the same residence multiple times to find someone at home.
To combat these issues, York Regional Police has enacted the “Camera Registry Program”. This program can be easily accessed on our Website yrp.ca/RegisterMyCam.
